This Manu Jungle tour will start with a hotel pick up, as part of our services. This pick up will occur before 5:00 am. So be ready on time.
We’ll be traveling across the Andes to arrive at the Manu’s Amazon Rainforest. This means we’ll have a drive in our private transport for some hours. The first stop will be at the traditional town of Paucartambo.
In Paucartambo we’ll have a andean breakfast. Sadly we won’t have much time to explore around this beautiful town. We’ll hope back on the bus, to keep traveling. The next stop will be Tres Cruces.
The viewpoint is at 3900 m / 12795 ft. So be prepared for the cold and wind. Depending on the time of year you can witness an amazing natural spectacle. During the months of June and August the Tres cruces sunrise is available.
During this magical sunrise, the sun jumps in front of your eyes three times. That is the origin of the name Tres Cruces. There are tours that let you see this optical illusion.
But you have to wake up even earlier. And there is no certainty in the occurrence of the phenomenon.

For the second day of our visit in the Manu Jungle (Peru), we have to wake up early. This day we’ll visit the macaw or parrot clay licks. We’ll depart from Treehouse before the sun is up. A short boat ride later we’ll be on a known lick place.
Macaws and parrots reunite on clay walls. They eat the clay to neutralize toxins in the seeds they regularly eat. This natural exhibition will allow you to witness hundreds of colorful birds. This is one of the most impressive animal encounters you can have in the Manu jungle (Peru).
You’ll be able to take pictures. Our guide will guide you in understanding this phenomenon. So we have you entirely covered. After this spectacle, we’ll return to the Treehouse Inn.
Back in the lodge, we’ll have a freshly made breakfast. For the next activity, we’ll have another Manu jungle tour. We’ll hike on an exclusive trail. You’ll see giant trees and other members of the native flora and fauna.
We’ll return to Treehouse Inn for lunch. After a good meal, we’ll start the river tubing activity. We’ll travel up stream. Then we’ll float down the river to the lodge.
This is a mild and fun adventure activity. Tubing is suitable for most age ranges.
For the evening we’ll visit a nearby indigenous community. We’ll have the chance for a cultural exchange. You’ll learn about the local culture, the local beliefs and more.
This is a first hand opportunity to be able to connect with different cultures. This will be our exploration into the cultural zone of Manu.
Before the night sets, we’ll return to the Treehouse Inn. We’ll have a campfire dinner. After this you can rest and enjoy the rest of your night.
For the final day of our Manu Jungle Tours, we’ll have the last breakfast in Treehouse Inn. We’ll catch a motorboat down the river. This boat ride is the last exploration of the Manu jungle (peru) that we’ll have. Our arrival to Santa Cruz town will be near midday.
We’ll disembark here. Private transportation will be waiting for us not far away. The drive back to Cusco will take several hours. During this time, we’ll have the last views of the Amazon Basin.
This Manu National Park tour is ending. Our transport will be arriving at the city of Cusco near 6:00 pm. This is the end of our services.
