Itinerary

Day 1Journey to Manu Rainforest Lodge

We will depart from Cusco early in the morning, heading towards the charming town of Paucartambo. Here, we will experience the vibrant local culture briefly. Then we will continue to the Tres Cruces viewpoint for breathtaking views of the Amazon basin at sunrise.

After enjoying a scenic lunch, our journey takes us down to Atalaya Port. Once here, we’ll board a boat to the Manu Rainforest Lodge. Upon arrival, we will check in and settle down for an Amazonian dinner. For the adventurous, a brief night hike is optional.

Day 2Exploration Along the Manu and Palotoa Rivers

After breakfast at the lodge, we will embark on a jungle tour along the Manu and Palotoa Rivers. Marvel at the lush greenery and vibrant wildlife that inhabit this area. Post tour, we will check in at the Treehouse INN.

The wildlife there is truly impressive. We will see wildlife like jaguars, capybaras or iconic birds.

After lunch back at the lodge, we’ll take a longer trail to explore deeper into the forest. Dinner will be served at the lodge followed by a small night walk. We’ll then return to rest at the Treehouse INN.

Day 3Visit to Macaw Clay Lick

We will rise early for a visit to the nearby macaw clay lick. It is a must visit point where we can witness hundreds of macaws and other parrots flocking to the riverbank. The sight of these colorful birds seeking minerals from the clay is a spectacle not to miss.

We’ll spend the day immersed in jungle activities, exploring the diverse flora and fauna. Our guide are expert in the local wildlife. We will learn about the ecological significance of the Manu region.

Day 4River Tubing and Evening Exploration

Dinner will be at the Rainforest Lodge. Here we’ll share stories of our adventures and relax in the peaceful jungle surroundings.
