Explore the untamed beauty of the Manu Biosphere Reserve on a thrilling 6-day adventure. This comprehensive tour takes you deep into one of the most biodiverse areas on Earth, the Peruvian Amazon. Amaze yourself by the majestic expanse, a World Heritage site.
We will start our journey by venturing into the lush cloud forests. Here the elevation ranges from 1,000 to 3,500 meters above the sea level (3,280 to 11,480 feet).
Is worth recalling that the Manu National Park is divided between the Reserved Zone and the Cultural Zone. These three parts (including the Manu National Park), bursts with diversity and ecological wonders.
During our Manu Biosphere Zone Tour, we will meet local communities. Their rich traditions and sustainable practices are proof of human resilience in the Amazon rainforest. You will learn how these communities harmonize with nature, utilizing traditional knowledge present through generations.
Further on, we will explore the Manu River and the adjoining Madre de Dios River. These vital waterways are lifelines of the Manu National Park, supporting an incredible variety of aquatic and terrestrial life. Along these rivers we can find caimans, river otters or maybe jaguars.
The lowland rainforest awaits as we delve deeper. Expect to encounter over a thousand species of plants per hectare, making it a botanist’s paradise. The symphony of sounds from countless bird species will be our constant backdrop.
Throughout your six days in the Manu Biosphere Reserve, we will ensure your comfort and safety. Our local guides have a lot of experience in navigating this complex environment. They will take us through a buffer zone, as a transition area that supports both wildlife and human activity.
Weather-wise, it’s important to prepare for variability. The rainy season might challenge us, but it also brings the landscape to life. Rain nourishes the ecosystem, and you will witness the rainforest in its most vibrant state. We, as a tour operator, recommend traveling during the dry season to be comfortable with the tour activities.
