ITINERARY

Day 1: Cusco - Paucartambo - Tres Cruces - Atalaya Port - Amazon Treehouse Lodge

Cusco - Paucartambo - Tres Cruces - Atalaya Port - Amazon Treehouse Lodge

Pick-up in Cusco at 05:00.
Breakfast in Paucartambo and visit to Tres Cruces (Ajanaco).
Descent through the cloud forest to observe wildlife.
Lunch at Hummingbird Garden.
Boat trip from Atalaya along the Madre de Dios and Palotoa rivers.
Transfer by “peke-peke” boat to Amazon Treehouse Lodge in the Peruvian Amazon.

Day 2: Parrot Clay Lick and Jungle Hike - Nocturnal Hike

Parrot Clay Lick and Jungle Hike - Nocturnal Hike

Early morning departure to the parrot and macaw clay lick in Manu National Park.
Guided hike to learn about medicinal plants and spot wildlife such as pumas, anteaters, sloths, and tapirs.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
Afternoon visit to a pond to observe birds, including toucans.
Night walk in search of caimans and other nocturnal animals.

Day 3: Amazon Treehouse - Jungle Exploration

Amazon Treehouse - Jungle Exploration

Jungle hike after crossing the Palotoa River by boat.
3-hour trek with a local guide to spot wildlife and birds.
Return to Amazon Treehouse Lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Afternoon river tubing on the Palotoa River.
Evening bonfire with a demonstration of traditional Amazonian cooking and Pacamuto tasting.

Día 4: Amazon Treehouse - Atalaya Pier - Paucartambo - Cusco

Amazon Treehouse - Atalaya Pier - Paucartambo - Cusco

Breakfast at Amazon Treehouse Lodge and boat trip back to Atalaya.
Private transport return to Cusco with a lunch stop in Paucartambo.
Arrival in Cusco around 5:00 PM, marking the end of the Manu National Park tour.
Approx. 300 km traveled by car and boat; easy travel day with mainly motorized transport.
